Shoot. Score. Share! The N-SPORTS CYBERHOOP set lets players turn any room into a virtual stadium and challenge themselves or friends to a basketball showdown.
Hasbro‘s NERF booth was probably one of my favorites at the 2013 Toy Fair. Why? Because we got to play! Hands-on experience is always a must when you work in the world of toys. And boy did Nerf let us play! We shot guns, shot hoops, shot targets and overall had a blast. (Get it? Blast? Anyway…)
One new Nerf product that caught my attention was the Nerf N-Sports Cyberhoop Set. Here’s a shot we took of it. (I know, I know – we need some work on our camera skillzzz. Long story short – all we had was our tablet during this booth visit, which wasn’t working very well. Ugh.)
You see the guy standing on the right? He did a cool demo of the toy, so we got to see it in action. Basically, you can turn your room into a virtual stadium with the Nerf Hoop and an app you download on your phone or tablet. Here’s a description from Nerf:
To begin play, fans simply download the free CYBERHOOP app on to their iDevice. Once the app is downloaded, players can select from one of five basketball challenges to start shooting hoops! The CYBERHOOP set transmits players’ scores to the smart device and the app provides exciting commentary, tracks game stats and captures games on video. Players can share their coolest shots from each game in an epic highlight reel or even play virtually with friends online via the app! The N-SPORTS CYBERHOOP set includes hoop, ball, and free app download.
Sounds fun right? Oh it is.
The app will be available for free via iTunes. Here are the devices it is compatible with: the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad (2nd, 3rd, 4th generation), iPad mini, and the iPod Touch (4th and 5th Generation).
The Nerf N-Sports Cyberhoop Set will be available in this Fall.
