Patch Products is getting geared up to debut their new plush doll line at this year’s New York Toy Fair in February. The line is describes as dolls bursting with personality. Patch asks “What happens when a pop singer, nerd, zombie, pirate, punk girl and hip hop musician all get together?” Well, the answer is Planet Sock Monkey dolls. Meet the new dolls below!

Ima Bananerd™
My name is Ima Bananerd, and yes, I am proud to be a nerd. I am of above average intelligence and enjoy studying. I also love performing science experiments and testing theories; it is very much like a mystery! Plus, it is the only time I am not awkward and clumsy; I trip just walking down the hall, but I never spill chemicals or cause explosions! For fun, I write the advice column for our school paper (shhhhh). No one has a clue that I am “Dear Nan,” and I am really good at it!
Eaton Dedd™
Grrrrrrhhhh. [This was all we could get him to say. I mean, he is a zombie, after all. But here’s what we know about him: His full name is Eaton Dedd, but he seems to be less aggravated when we call him “Dedd,” so we do. He’s not too keen on the idea of changing into fresh, non-ripped clothing, so he must have some attachment to his “smile” shirt – perhaps it reminds him of when he couldsmile? Also, we’ve never witnessed him biting anyone, but you should still keep your hands away from his mouth. Just in case.]
Long Sock Silver™
I be just an ol’ seadog by th’ name o’ Long Sock Silver, and me and me crew steer clear o’ Monkey Jones’s Locker when sailin’ the seas. Blimey, we do love sailin’! Aboard Th’ Black Banana, me crew laughs at me jokes and ask fer me stories. We be friendly t’ other ships and help buccaneers stranded or hornswoggled. I use me compass t’ look fer booty, which I be splittin’ fairly with me crew, o’ course!
Magenta Beetsch™
My name’s Magenta and I like doing my own thing. I don’t worry about what others think because I can’t please everyone. I respect my parents and they respect me, even if we don’t always agree. People seemed surprised when they find out I love to read (Why? Who doesn’t love getting swallowed up in a story?), and I also write poetry and song lyrics for my friend’s band (they rock!). I work part-time at my local library because I love books, and I think it’s cool helping people find great books to read.
M.O.N.K.™
You know, my friends call me M.O.N.K. cuz that’s my name. I play b-ball with my monkeyboys cuz I got game. We listen to tunes that are definitely poppin’, and we look for dark shades when we go shoppin’. I mentor youth in the community to help out. So, if you’re ever in my neighborhood, just give me a shout!
Star Harmonkey™
Hi y’all, my name is Star Harmonkey and I love to sing! I play my guitar and sing songs about friendship, love, and sometimes about break-ups and bullying. I’m always wearing my absolute favorite red lipstick: Monkey Girl’s Ruby Sokx. I also spend lots of time hanging out with friends and volunteering. My favorite way to volunteer is to sing songs and play my guitar for sick kids at the hospital. They are so sweet and I love seeing them smile!
