Can you believe it’s 2013? Are you ready for it? We sure are! We rang in the New Year with some good friends, a glass of champagne and excitement as we start 2013 with more focus.

The photo collage above are some fun moments in 2012 with our family. We have photos from our beach trip, a Texas Longhorns football game, chilling out at the park, playing with toys, an awesome concert, a 3D movie and just overall fun times with our family. Which is what our new focus for 2013 is going to be for ToyXplosion: FUN.

We decided to roll into 2013 with a new saying that sums up what ToyXplosion is all about. Sure, we’re obviously about toys, but from the beginning we’ve always wanted it to be a bit more. Todd and I aren’t perfect parents by any means, but we do feel there is one thing we do right, and it’s having FUN with our kids.

There’s not a week that goes by we’re not belly laughing over something or being ridiculously goofy to where our kids are rolling their eyes (and not admitting they secretly find us funny). It’s important to us to have a home that is full of play, full of laughter and full of times that allow us to connect with our kids. Which leads me into…

More videos - 2013 is the year of videos for us. We’ll bring you more videos of toy demos, of our family, of toy related events and even share some videos from you – our readers.
Consistent Newsletters - You can expect to see a weekly newsletter in your inbox every Thursday (starting January 10th). We have some fun things planned for the newsletter and want to make it something you enjoy reading and even look forward to every week.
Our Family - We want to share more of our lives with all of you. So expect to see more pictures/videos on our Facebook page, stories about what’s going on with us and what it’s like running a business, having a blast, and being a family – all at the same time.

The New York Toy Fair 2013

That’s right! We are headed to New York in February for the 2013 International Toy Fair ! This will be our first time visiting the Toy Fair and we’re quite excited. Two years ago, we were scheduled to go (plane tickets purchased, hotel reserved, awesome uncle staying with the kids) and I woke up the morning we were to fly out with…THE FLU! Talk about bad timing. This year I’ll just pump myself with some extra vitamin C. Please send me good health vibes as we get closer to February.
