These toys made it into our 2012 Holiday Gift Guide!
We’ve been talking about and covering Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for quite some time now. From the moment we heard there was a new CGI animated series coming to Nickelodeon, which also meant some amazing new toys, we were quite excited. Okay, a little ecstatic. (Side note: Our daughter came home last night from being out with friends and bought this awesome Ninja Turtle shirt from Target. The popularity spans all ages! She has declared it her favorite shirt.)
Don’t get me started on Ninja Turtle the LEGO Sets that are coming January 2013!!! Freaking out people. Freaking out.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Toys
Anyway…we had the chance to test out some of these new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Toys for ourselves. What do we think? They are as awesome as we had hoped! Here are a few we recommend:
1. The Classic Collection Action Figures
These bring back so many memories for me personally. They have the same look and feel of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the 80’s TV show. Ahhhh, the 80s. Good times. Each turtle is 6 inches tall and is designed extremely well and with great detail. They come with their own weapon and personalized sewer lid cover name base.
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Combat Gear
Kids can choose their favorite turtle combat gear and Turtle up! Each set includes the Turtle’s authentic ninja weapon, signature bandana and throwing stars that will help transform kids into their very own hero in a half shell!
We tested out the Leonardo set which came with a Katana Sword. Awesome. See all of the sets here.
3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sewer Spinnin’ Skateboard
This was one of my personal favorites. My 8 year asked if he could play with it. I was very generous and let him. This skateboard comes ready to shred and is compatible with all the Basic Turtle Action Figures. Kids will love the fact that it’s designed just like the one they see on the show. They’ll also enjoy the 10 different tricks it does and the stunt ramp for some flying action.

Overall we have been extremely impressed with the new Ninja Turtle toys and know for a fact that kids who love this series,will find many hours of enjoyment out of these.
