I’ve mentioned before here several times that I love shopping online. I’m not one for dealing with the crowds or walking around the mall for hours browsing. I do love sitting in the comfort of my own home browsing my favorite stores online. Now don’t get me wrong. I do get out of the house and go shopping. My 15 year old daughter absolutely loves to go shopping, at an actual store, and that right there is some good bonding time for us.
The one thing that is quite annoying about online shopping is entering your checkout information every.single.time. Yes, I’ve been known to let out a sigh when I realized I had to get up from the computer, go get my wallet and Visa card so I can enter my card number, expiration date, that special little security code on the back of the card and on and on. Call me lazy, (Wait, please don’t call me that!), but it can be a little inconvenient and time consuming.
I’ve also had concerns with security issues. Especially after someone went on a little shopping spree with one of our cards a few months ago on a website that had the word strawberry in it. Don’t ask. I don’t think they were buying actual strawberries. Anyway…
Visa (who we’ve had cards with for what feels like centuries, but I’m not actually that old) has come out with a new online payment system that streamlines the whole process. People. To a busy mom, the word streamline gives me butterflies in my tummy. Their new online payment system is called V.me and I had the chance to test it out. You can do your online shopping and not have to re-enter your payment information or share your full card numbers to purchase your items.
So, what did I buy in order to test out this new service? Momma got a new pair of shoes! Wait. Scratch that! Daddy got a new pair of shoes! My husband has been needing a new pair of his favorite brown Sketchers for awhile. And given the fact that the Christmas present he bought me was WAY more expensive than the Christmas present I bought him (that little stinker!), I wanted to get him a new pair of shoes.
Side note: Do you want to know what I bought him? It wasn’t underwear, but close. T-shirts. I bought him T-shirts for Christmas! But, they were really funny t-shirts with sayings like “Best Freakin’ Dad Ever” and “Cleverly Disguised As An Adult”. At least they were cool t-shirts right?
I headed on over to a site called ShoeBuy.com, where we just so happened to find those pair of Sketchers he wanted. They not only had the right size and color, but we received 20% off and free shipping. Well Merry Freakin’ Christmas to us!
Using V.me by Visa made the online shopping experience a breeze and since I had never shopped on this particular website before, it gave me the peace of mind I needed. It literally took seconds to checkout. What do I think about V.me? I’m very pleased. It’s from a company I have trusted with my finances for a very long time and now I can trust them with my online shopping. Now that is a good thing. More people go with Visa you know. (I stole that from them.)
