This toy made it into our 2012 Holiday Gift Guide!
It’s Christmas break, the kids are out of school and they have all sorts of energy right? Right. One thing I love about living where we do, is the kids can pretty much play outside all year long. So every year, our boys receive some sort of present that involves wheels and getting outside for some exercise.
If you have a kiddo who loves to shred like their favorite professional athlete, do we have the gift idea for you! Two-time Olympic gold medalist and skateboard champion Shaun White has partnered with D6 Sports . You may have noticed his own line of action sports at some of your favorite stores. The line is called Shaun White Supply Co. (SWSC) and includes skateboards, BMX bikes, stunt scooters, protective gear, ramps, rails, and other various products.
The great thing about this line is every product has been tested by Shaun and his team to make sure it measured up to his standards. Not only can these products be used by Shaun in competition, but they are perfect for youth and beginners as well.
We had the chance to test out one of his skateboards and not only were we impressed with it (we have a lot of skateboards) but as a parent, we were also thrilled with the price point. Check out a few more of the skateboards below.
The board we tested received two thumbs up from both our 8 and 13 year old. They said it had one heck of a smooth ride and was easy and fun to do tricks on. We took it to the skate park and they were able to test it out on the bowl and several ramps. Definitely one of the best skateboards we own!
Not only are there skateboards, but scooters, BMX bikes and helmets. Our 8 year old is receiving a Shaun White helmet for Christmas. He just doesn’t know it yet! Here are a few of the other products.
