Miniature cars are all the rage right now with little boys. So when our son first saw the Cars Micro Drifters Super Speedway Playset, it definitely had his attention!
Micro Drifters vehicles feature ball-bearing technology that permits unique movements. This motorized set features lots of areas for these innovative vehicles to race, drift and swarm-just like they do in the Disney/Pixar Cars films. When kids are ready for the race to end, they can flip the lever and see who places first, second and third. It’s loads of frenzied fun! Includes 1 Micro Drifters vehicle.
What Aaron liked about it:
He liked how fast the cars went through the motorized section and how he could race all of the cars. We ended up purchasing another Micro Drifters car set since this set only comes with 1. More on that in a minute. So, he ended up racing 6 cars at a time. He currently has this race set in his room and has plays it quite often. It’s also a toy that his friends have loved playing with.
Some things to be aware of:
- It takes about 15 minutes to assemble
- It is made of plastic
- We have had issues with the track staying together, but only when we moved it from room to room. During racing, we’ve never had an issue with it.
- Mattel does note that not all of the Micro Drifters work on the race set, but we’re not sure which ones!
- The set only comes with one car and it really needs two. What’s the point in racing if there’s just one car!? If you buy this set as a gift, definitely buy another package of cars.
