ToyXplosion’s Halloween Costume Contest Submission #17 – Homemade Yoshi Costume

This is submission #17 for our Halloween Costume Contest, which you can find out all about here. Submissions are now closed!

Has your child ever wanted to be something for Halloween that you absolutely could not find in the stores? We’ve been there. One year our middle son wanted to be a Sour Patch Kid. Yes, we ended up making the costume. It turned out pretty hysterical but he was having problems breathing in it, which I guess was an issue for him.  Picky, picky.

One mom didn’t let not being able to find a certain costume in stores stop her either. Her son wanted to be Yoshi for Halloween. So Yoshi he was! Have a look at this collage she made.

Homemade Yoshi Costume

This is 7 year old Dylan in his homemade Yoshi costume. Just how did his mom make it? She said, “We couldn’t find one in the stores so I bought some felt and styrafoam and started sewing by hand!”

I’m telling you. Us moms can solve just about any problem, wouldn’t you agree? :D

We will announce the Top 10 Halloween Costumes on October 25th and public voting will begin on October 26th!
