Every Christmas, little boys (and big boys) everywhere ask for a race track of some sort. Our boys have asked for one time and time again and this year, our 8 year old had the chance to test one out that he absolutely loves. He’s seen the commercials about the Micro Chargers and was definitely intrigued by these tiny little cars.
We received the Micro Chargers Jump Track (pictured above) to test out. These tiny little cars zoom around the race track and have brought lots of enjoyment for Aaron (our 8 year old).
Micro Chargers Jump Track Description
There are several different tracks to choose from such as the Time Track and the Loop Track. The Jump Track that we tested has a little jump for the cars to make. Hence it’s name.
Here’s a description of the cars: Put the power of the charge in your hands with the Micro Chargers Launcher Pack. Quick Charge your Micro Chargers stunt and race cars! 8 seconds in the launcher powers the micro racers for over 30 seconds race time! Available in Stunt and Race Car there are multiple finishes and styles ? 9 to collect.
Here’s a description of the jump track: Take the corners on the chicane bend and get ready for the treacherous jump bridge with the Micro ChargersTM Jump Track! Watch in amazement as cars launch through jumps to perform gravity defying stunts and challenge your friends to see who will crash and who will win!
What We Thought
The Micro Chargers definitely gives race tracks a new spin. With the quick charge, the launch and how fast they zoom around the track – it’s just overall a fun toy. It also has the collectibility factor, with 9 cars available at the moment. I’m sure more will be released. The Jump Track came with two cars and our son is already asking for the other ones for Christmas.
We did have some issues at first with one of the cars charging. It wouldn’t charge. It wouldn’t race. So, we pulled out the instructions and read the troubleshooting guide and sure enough, there were little hairs (dog hairs!) wrapped around the tires, which was causing it not to work properly. I took some tweezers and pulled the hair out and it was as good as new.

Bottom Line – Is This Toy for Your Child?
Our son is 8 and we thought he was the perfect age for a toy like this. Some race tracks are a little hard to use, but this one was just right for him. You don’t have to wait hours for the cars to charge, which is really nice. A few seconds in the charger (which does require batteries) and you’re ready to race.
We think your child will like this toy if:
- He/She is age 6 to 12
- They like race tracks in general
- They like collecting cars
- They like mini things
- They like a toy that is easy to use and doesn’t require waiting around for it to charge
- They like toys where they can race their friends
I have a feeling we’ll be adding more cars and more tracks to Aaron’s Micro Chargers set!
