Here’s a description of the Monster High High School Playset:
Monster High High School Playset: The most iconic spots in Monster High are finally getting some freaky fabulous time in the spotlight. In response to fan demand, girls can now showcase their favorite student bodies in the very first Monster High playset. This two-story school features some of the most recognizable rooms from the webisodes including the iconic school entrance through the gargoyle statues, the mad science classroom, creepateria, casketball court and, of course, the ghouls’ creepy cool coffin-shaped lockers. Using the included stickers and decorations, girls can transform the creepateria into the perfect spot for the big school dance. When class is dismissed, the set folds up neatly for easy storage. Dolls not included.
The reviews of this product have for the most part been fantastic. Here are a few of the positive ones:
If you are worried about accuracy, Monster High School is meticulously detailed. There’s a locker area, a cafeteria and a school room. It boasts a basketball court but the “court” is simply a hoop on the side of the school (and it comes with a black basketball!). But the details are not the best part… when you first get it out of the box it looks kind of like a closed coffin, and not too big… but it keeps folding out and you end up with two good sized rooms (with floors!) and an upstairs area. These houses without floors are ridiculous… and it was awesome to see that this would not be an issue with this set! I was actually surprised at how big it is overall, and best of all – it closes right back up, locks up and even has a handle. This can easily be stored in a closet, under the bed or behind a door when not in use. It’s not going to be a huge bulky play set. I could even reasonably see them taking this over to a friend’s house to play with after they have the knack of opening it by themselves! The design is great, and I hope more companies will take a cue from design.
What I like about the set is that it comes with flooring on the inside – unlike most Barbie houses that only have walls. Accessories include 6 small lockers with locks to store small pieces, cafeteria seating, two classroom seats, a speaker set, movable stairs, bleachers for the casketball game, small classroom items like pens, tablets, and even Lagoona’s frog in a jar, and little extras like the Fearleading squad trophy and Casketball trophy. The front entrance has the two gargoyle statues (they are rubbery and soft) and each has a removable book. The set also includes a sticker sheet for personalizing (though the school comes fully stickered and painted – you don’t need the stickers to put it together right.
I found one review that said the product was flimsy, but I only read that from one person. They also paid entirely too much for it, which often happens with hot toys like this one!
We’re hoping to have a personal review and video done, so stay tuned for that!
