I’m so excited to announce ToyXplosion’s very first Halloween Costume Contest! Do you have your child’s costume chosen? Are you still looking for the perfect one? (Our 8 year old informed me he wants a Halloween costume that involves him holding his head on a platter. Oh dear…what happened to super heroes, ninjas and Captain Jack Sparrow?! We’ll be in negotiations over this one…)

Now, about this contest…here are the details:
What: ToyXplosion’s 2012 Halloween Costume Contest!
Submissions: Please submit a photo or video (the video needs to be a YouTube video) of your child – infant to 12 years old – to toys@toyxplosion.com. By submitting this photo or video, you are giving ToyXplosion the right to post it on our site. We will post all of the submissions we receive, as we receive them. We will use first names only in order to protect your kiddos! So please give us their first name, age and who/what they are dressed up like.
Deadline: You have from today (September 25th) until October 23rd to submit your photo or video.
Round 1: Our family (Todd, Julie, Hannah, Josiah and Aaron) will choose the Top 10 submissions and announce them via www.toyxplosion.com, our newsletter and our social media sites on October 25th.
Round 2: Beginning October 26th, voting for the Top 10 will be open to the public and they will decide! We will post the Top 10 that day with a poll for people to vote. We’ll also have a dedicated page for you to send people to. So if you’re one of the chosen 10 (or one of your friends/family are) ask for some votes!
The Winner: The winner is the one with the most votes (like…how we choose our president, only on a smaller scale and no voter registration card or photo I.D. is required) and will be announced on October 31st. That’s Halloween y’all! It’ll be a spooky good time…
The Prize: The winner of ToyXplosion’s 2012 Halloween Costume will receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card, redeemable at…well, Amazon. Duh, right? We will contact the winner after the initial announcement and will need your email address to send you the prize.
