First news: they’ve partnered with Sesame Street to bring videos to the LeapPad app store in June. This will be Sesame Street’s most recent television season which focuses on a science-based curriculum. The episodes include a ton of stars such as Wanda Sykes who shares her secret journal with Elmo and Modern Family‘s Julie Bowen who introduces the word “binoculars.”
Also included is the episode where Bert is searching for a rare blue-bar pigeon, the only pigeon he’s never seen. Elmo and Abby try to help him find it.
Tons of Sesame Street fun to say the least. Your kiddos can take these episodes with them anywhere! Just think of all the summer trips you’re going to take. With their LeapPad in hand, they’ll be good to go for hours!
Second bit of news: LeapFrog has also teamed up with Little Pim, the award-winning foreign language learning program for children. We love Little Pim so much and have featured their sets on ToyXplosion before. Discovering a new language at an early age is so important and both LeapFrog and Little Pim get that. This will be the very first language learning app to arrive in the LeapPad app store!
The official press release reveals a little more about what parents can expect from this partnership: “Little Pim content features a proprietary Entertainment Immersion Method®, which combines animation with real kids to teach simple words and phrases for everyday activities. Little Pim Spanish, English, Chinese and French language videos will be the first to launch in the LeapFrog App Center and be available for LeapPad just in time for summer.”
Both the Sesame Street and Little Pim partnership seems to be a smart move for LeapFrog.
