Listen up Webkinz fans! If you’re on Facebook and you love Webkinz, you can now play a new Webkinz game titled Webkinz Friends via the social media site. (Side note: I find this interesting given you have to be 13 in order to even have a Facebook account. And I’m pretty sure 13 and up is not Webkinz’s target market.) But anyway…on with the news!
Our kids have outgrown the Webkinz stage (*sob*) but I remember how much they loved their Webkinz and getting online to feed and play with them. (Another side note: Did you know one of the very first blogs I started was a Webkinz one? It’s true! It doesn’t exist anymore, but we had fun with it for awhile. Okay, I’m done with side notes today…)
Webkinz Friends is the first game on Facebook in the virtual pet realm and the goal of the game is to build your own customized Kinzville with businesses, homes, restaurants, stores – basically building an entire community.
I guess this is where the over 13 comes into play. Parents can play and earn prizes on Webkinz Friends, which they can then send to their kids’ Webkinz World accounts. The game has 50 levels and players can earn KinzCash.
