This is a sad sad month in the candy world. Mike and Ike have split due to a disagreement in new candy ideas or as they put it ‘irreconcilable creative differences’. The two are off doing their own things, probably both miserable. Mike is a musician and Ike is an artist.
They’ve even gone so far as to change the packaging artwork on their candy boxes. How sad is this?
Mike and Ike also included notes on the back of the boxes explaining to their fans what happened. This is devastating and something must be done! The candy guys will hold a press conference on May 8th at the Sweets and Snacks Expo in Chicago. That should be a very interesting event.
Guess what? You can help reunite these two candy icons and show them they belong together in one box, just like the good ‘ol days.
