Back in January, I shared with you how I organized my kitchen using the Brother P Touch Label Maker and labels. (Psst. Amazon has this label maker 50% off right now and they are selling out fast!!)
I also shared with you how I used to own a Professional Organizing business and how I have used many (and I mean many) different label makers. Some of the labels were okay and some were horrible. If you’re going to label something in your home or office and it’s used quite a bit, you need labels that will last. It’s annoying to spend the money on the labels, only to have to replace them a few weeks later.
I’m happy to share with you, the Brother P Touch Labels are my absolute favorite and they have stood up to the test of time in my kitchen. I mainly used the labels in the pantry. A place that is well-used by every member of the family. The labels have stayed put, the letters have not worn off and they still look as good as new. A couple of the labels were a little dirty (from grubby little hands grabbing snacks
) and I was able to wipe off the label and remove the stain.
I have not had to replace any of the labels. And that is a first!
Not only have I used the labels in my kitchen, but through out different areas of my home. From the kids’ bathroom and their rooms to my craft area, I’ve used them just about everywhere. Probably the most unique place I have used them and the place that proves these labels can stand up to anything, is my laptop. Yep, my laptop.
A few letters on my laptop started rubbing off, which shows just how much I use it I guess. You could no longer see the E, A and N – which was fine for me because I knew what letters they were supposed to be, but not cool for my 8 year old. I’ve tried laptop stickers. I’ve tried writing on the letters with a permanent marker. I’ve tried other labels. Nothing worked. The letters would rub off a few weeks later. And then the Brother P Touch label maker entered my life.
As you can see from the picture above, the labels are really dirty around the edges and my laptop needs a serious cleaning in between the keys. I know. “Ew”. But, between me and my three kids all using the laptop on a daily basis, it gets used A LOT. I have had these labels on since September 2011 and I have not had to replace them once. As you can see, the letters are still there and are as easy to see and dark as the day I put them on. They are curling a little around the edges, but that’s to be expected. Laptop letter issue solved.
I know. It’s a very unconventional way to use a label maker, but it solved a very annoying problem I was having. If you are needing a good, quality label maker with labels that will stand up to anything, I highly recommend the Brother P Touch Label Maker. You will not be disappointed!
