I took one of my sons to Toys R Us the other day to spend his gift card he received for Christmas. We walked away with the Beyblade Nintendo DS game, a basketball and more Beyblades. He decided it was a successful trip.
As we walked in, the first thing we were greeted with was LEGO’s new line aimed at girls – LEGO Friends. Have you heard of the line? I’ve written about it a couple of times.
The line was just released on January 1st and I am very curious to, number one, hear how the line is doing in terms of sales and number 2, see what you think about it.
I’ve read some articles that says LEGO needs to stay away from specific genders and just make great sets, but that doesn’t really make sense to me. It’s obvious LEGOs mainly appeal to boys with sets like Star Wars and Harry Potter – not that girls aren’t interested in those, but you know what I mean.
