Listerine Oral Challenge Update #2

Remember the Listerine Oral Challenge I told you about? You can read my initial post here.

It’s been a few weeks since we took the challenge and although we’ve all slipped up a little (I blame it on the Holidays – which is what I am blaming everything on these days), we can all definitely tell a difference.

The challenge was to brush, floss and rinse twice a day. We were sent an amazing package by Listerine, which contained everything we needed to do the challenge – so we had no excuses (except for the Holiday excuse right?). From new toothbrushes, floss and mouthwash – we were setup for success.

Taking the challenge

As I mentioned, given the fact we were taking this challenge during the Holidays, we did slip up a little. Between my kids spending the night at friends’ houses and traveling, we didn’t do quite as good as we should of. But, we did all notice one thing. The days we did slip up, we noticed a HUGE difference in how our mouths felt.

By being consistent with brushing, flossing and rinsing, you experience a clean mouth like never before. I’ve gotten to the point now that I have to use mouthwash everyday, or something just feels off. My 12 year old son said the same thing.

Taking part in the challenge helped us develop a habit of good oral hygiene. When you get used to doing something and used to the way it feels, it becomes a habit and something you don’t even really need to think about doing.

Our Favorite Products

Without a doubt, my two favorite products that I swear by now for a healthy mouth is Listerine mouthwash and the Reach Access Flosser.

The Access Flosser is also my older kids’ favorite product because it made flossing doable in their eyes. It’s super easy to use and when you’re done, you just punch in a new flosser for the next time.

If good oral care is important to you and you would like it to become important for your kids, make it a family affair. Take the Listerine Oral Challenge with your kids and both you and them will benefit and notice a difference. You can find out more information about Listerine products here.
