“Angry Birds Building Sets from K’NEX will bring Rovio’s popular and recognizable characters to life in a new way,” said Michael Araten, president of K’NEX Brands. “Children of all ages will have the opportunity to build the Angry Birds world they love right in their own home. And just like in the video game, the birds face off against the pigs! I am excited to see how fans will take their digital game skills and use them in the real world!”

The Angry Birds K’NEX toy line will debut at the 2012 New York Toy Fair this February, but will not be available until Fall 2012.

The building sets will include the most popular Angry Birds characters, buildable launchers and other recognizable elements from the game. The sets are recommended for ages 5 and up, but we all know who will be purchasing these. Yes, adults. Oh sure. We’ll buy them “for our kids”, but then we’ll tell them to “BACK OFF!” so mom and dad can play.
