We’ve been huge fans of Vtech toys ever since our kids were little. Last year, we reviewed the Mobigo and V.Reader and still like them. And of course, for this Holiday season they have their tablet for kids – the Innotab. We haven’t reviewed it yet, but we will before Christmas gets here…promise.
We did receive several other Vtech toys to review and one of them was the Vtech Kidizoon Camera in Orange. Let me just say, this camera is so much fun for little kids. It’s the perfect size for them and it does so much!

Our Thoughts on the Vtech Kidizoom Camera
As you can see from both the description and video, this camera can do a lot. A few things that really impressed me was the bright screen, the camera quality (compared to some other kids digital cameras we’ve tested) and the photo editing software.
Just remember, this is a kids camera, so it’s not going to take super quality photos. It’s something fun for young kids to experiment with taking pictures and as they get older, they can upgrade to one a notch up.
I also like how little ones don’t have to squint through a little hole to take a photo. It’s truly a digital camera with the nice screen where you can really see what you’re taking a picture of.
The camera is the perfect size for little hands and it’s durable. It’s not going to survive a dunk in the toilet, but it will most definitely survive some drops on the floor. Yes, I dropped it on the floor…on purpose.
Note: This camera takes the best pictures outside or somewhere with quite a bit of light. In low light, the pictures will be super dark.
Extras: The camera does include 4 “AA” batteries but they are for demo purposes only. I suggest already having batteries on hand and changing them as soon as your child wants to start using it.
