Game: Phone Frenzy – The Calling, Texting, Picture Messaging Party Game {Review}

Phone Frenzy could be a verb to describe everyday around our home. With two adults and two teenagers (who are always texting) that have phones, we are on them quite a bit. Of course our 7 year old is like “Can I have a phone?”. He’s so funny. Hahahahaha.

How about we put those phones to good use and have some family fun with them? Sound impossible? Oh, it’s possible with the new game from Buffalo Games called Phone Frenzy.

This game is so clever and a great way to get your teenagers to play a game with you. When they hear you say “Hey, go grab your phone so we can play this game” they actually might not groan at you.

Here’s how to play:

Use your cell phones to call and text friends, and complete hilarious challenges in four categories. Can you convince your dad to get a pedicure with you? Can your best friend name five Spice Girls? It’s not WHAT you know, it’s WHO you know!

For Phone Frenzy, you are divided into two teams who are trying to complete challenges in four different categories. The categories are Who Knows (Yellow), Buzz (Red), Team Challenge (Green) and Showdown (Blue).

Enjoying and winning this game all depends on your contact list. If your friends are up for some fun and willing to play along, you have a good shot. Of course, a lot of the cards don’t allow you to tell your contacts that you’re playing a game, so they just might think you’ve lost your mind when you try to get them to hang up on you or you ask to borrow something weird like a q-tip. Of course, if your friends already think you’re weird, they’ll probably play along.

Overall, this is a fun game to play but everyone needs a cell phone and a good plan. If you have limited minutes and texting, this might not be a good idea. It’s also not a game you can play all the time because, number one – you’ll really start to annoy your contacts and number two – most of us have a limited number of contacts to call, so they’ll start catching on or just ignoring your calls.
