Little Pim Books and Music CD {Review}

Is your child learning a new language? Do you think it’s important for them to? I think it is and the earlier you start with them, the better.

Back in April of 2010, we reviewed the Little Pim Fun with Languages Spanish set. I was very impressed with the quality of the product then and I am excited to tell you about some of their new books and music. I just received 2 board books from Little Pim, with English/Spanish and French.

They were recently released at the beginning of August and I can tell you, these books are fabulous!

The Little Pim books are board books, so they are well made and heavy duty. I remember being a new parent and buying little paper books. Yep, those didn’t last long. Not only are these well-made to stand the test of any baby and toddler, but they include fun tabs and flaps for them to explore. Those were always our kids’ most favorite books. Anything that lets them be interactive when you are reading to them is a plus.

Here’s a description of the Little Pim books:

The Little Pim book series adapts the most successful and effective elements from the award-winning Little Pim DVDs to promote fun with languages for young children. Each book incorporates an exciting blend of illustrations and photographs, as well as flaps and pull tabs to keep readers engaged. The stories are told in English, with words featured in Spanish and French (the most popular languages in the DVD series). Pronunciation guides for parents are included.

Colors showcases colors and objects, and Feelings focuses on emotions and expressions. Each book weaves its vocabulary into a hide-and-seek story featuring Little Pim as the narrator and concludes with a helpful review of the words learned.

Not only are you teaching baby a new language, but parents can learn from these books as well. I love that they include the pronunciation guide.

Not only does Little Pim have fantastic books, but really fun and catchy music CDs too.

The Little Pim: Spanish Bop includes 15 songs. You can hear a sample of all the songs on Amazon here. Like I said, the songs are catchy and ones both you and your little ones will want to listen to over and over again. Little Pim also has French Bop, for those of you wanting to teach your children French.

There are so many benefits to learning a new language. Little Pim makes it fun and interactive for baby and parents. Consider giving these sets as a gift for the Holidays or as a baby shower gift.
