Positively Proud – Making Kids Feel Special, Giving Parents the Tools for Positive Parenting

Now that school is back in session and we are all so busy, I have to be extra intentional with praising our kids and just having a conversation with them in general. It’s so easy to go back and forth between all of our activities, then back home for dinner and bed time and realize that I haven’t said one positive thing to them all day long.

Kids thrive on those little positive comments, just like we do as adults. Think about a time you were at work or volunteering for something at your kids’ school and someone gave you a compliment on a job well done. It makes you feel amazing and also makes you want to continue to do a good job.

I am very excited to tell you about a website called Positively Proud.

On the site, you’ll find a collection of products, books and other ideas all geared towards supporting the children in our lives in absolute best way possible. I also love the fact that this is mom-created by Stacey Alexander. (Keep reading for a 15% off discount code for our readers!)

I had the chance to check out a range of their products and let me tell you, I’m a fan! I even handed a few of the products over to my son’s 2nd grade teacher because I knew they were something she could also use for her students. Here are a few of the available products:

Lunch & Printed Notes • $4.95 & Up
Positively Proud was created on the concept of a simple printed note. A message a day will bring joy to your child’s day. See website for ages, descriptions and pictures.

Kids love mail! As mom and dad sort through the mail pile, kids of all ages are always asking the same question, “Anything for me?” They love to see their name in print and feel important when the mail comes for them. Positively Proud has selected fun, inspirational cards that are perfect for letting your kids know how much you care and how special they are. These cards can be sent through the postal system, hand delivered or left as a surprise delivery when they least expect it. Kitchen Goodies • $3.99
As parents, we spend a great deal of time in the kitchen trying to provide our children with healthy foods to grow big and strong. Positively Proud is pleased to present Kitchen Goodies to help nurture their self esteem along with their bodies. These products can be used at snack time, meal time or sent in a lunchbox to convey messages of security, confidence and encouragement. These charming products can be placed anywhere in the home to hold the thoughts and values you want to communicate to your child. Clever items range from Kangaroo Note Holder to Bed Caddy.

Luv Ya Stuff • $4.95 & Up
In this category, gifts have been carefully selected because of the loving message imbedded in the item itself or it facilitates a way to connect with your children. These gifts are not extravagant, but yet heartfelt and meaningful beyond measure. They open doors of communication and represent symbols of your love. Whether it’s a Magic Washcloth that’s placed next to the sink or a shiny Silver Token that is given at snack time, your child will delight in receiving something special that makes them feel important, cared for and confident.
