Have you checked out all of the cool shoes from Heelys lately? We have been big fans of the brand for quite a while and have been rockin’ and rollin’ with them for several years.
What I love about the brand is the fact that they have something for everyone – little kids, big kids and kids at heart. Yes, I have a pair of Heelys (with bright pink shoe strings) and I love them. But more than that, my kids love it when I get out and Heely with them. It’s great exercise, it’s great fun and it’s a great way to spend some time with the kids.

They have fabulous styles for both boys and girls and when the wheel is taken out, can be worn as everyday shoes. For those of you who haven’t checked out the brand in awhile, you may not be aware of the different products they have. Have you seen the commercial for the Nano? We haven’t had the chance to check it out yet, but it’s perfect for your older kids. And man does it look like fun!
Heelys Nano
For your kids who aren’t quite ready for the one-wheel Heelys, they have the HX2 which has two wheels. It’s much easier to balance and get the hang of it. Once they have mastered two wheels, they just take the front wheel out and can now master the one-wheel technique.
We’ve tested both the HX2, the classic style and Heelys for adults. What do we think of them all? Love them. And honestly, we’ve purchased, I guess what you would call a generic brand (rip-off), of Heelys before and it was a huge mistake. They’re just not the same. The design, the quality and the knowledge that goes into making one great wheeled shoe is done so well by the folks at Heelys.

Now that the weather is cooling off across the country, it’s time to get out and play! We’ve been having 100+ degree temps and our street has looked like the dead zone. No kids outside. No neighbors to talk to. We’ve all been inside our houses worshiping the almighty air conditioner. As soon as the temps cooled down, our street was alive again! We broke out the Heelys and other wheeled play things and had a blast.
