Star Wars Pet Costumes – Introducing “D’art Vader”

We have a 6 year old Papillon named D’artagnan (we call him D’art for short) and each Halloween we talk about dressing him up for the holiday, but we have yet to do it. We’ve always wanted to dress him up in a Darth Vader costume and call him “D’art Vader”. Clever, I know. Well, our dream (maybe not his, but he didn’t seem to mind) has come true and our little Papillon has his very own Star Wars Pet Costume.

Drum roll please….

Introducing D’art Vader….

What do you think? Cute huh?

We received the costume from BuyStarWarsCostumes.com where they have Star Wards Costumes for kids, adults and yes, pets. The Darth Vader Pet Costume is so cute, I can’t even really put it into words! D’art’s legs are a little short, so they didn’t stick out like they’re supposed to. Here’s a picture of another little white doggie dressed up as Darth Vader.

The little “arms” had our whole family laughing hysterically. We tried to hold D’art Vader up to show off the costume a little better. Pardon the blurry picture. He wouldn’t be still!

The costume comes in 4 different sizes and is $16.99. Here’s a description:

Don’t leave your dog out on Halloween! Let him join in on the fun in this authentic Darth Vader costume. This black 100% polyester pet costume has all the authentic detailing you’d expect to have on your own costume, including front foam flaps with buttons printed on them and a large foam collar that resembles armor. Plush arms with attached cuffs are sewn onto the front of jumpsuit. Your dog’s hind legs fit into roomy openings. The front of jumpsuit attaches with a Velcro strap that goes around your dog’s neck. The long Velcro strap allows you to adjust it based on your dog’s neck size. The black polyester cape ties around the neck, and the polyester/vinyl mask attaches with an elastic band. This officially licensed dog costume is guaranteed to get lots of laughs from Star Wars fans and everyone who sees your dog in his new duds!

You can bet D’art will be sporting this costume at Halloween. Here are a few more pictures for your viewing pleasure. Oh, and you’ll notice General Grevious from Star Wars in a few of these shots. We’ll talk about him soon.
