The newest addition to the Dork Diaries books, Dork Diaries 3: Tales from a Not-So-Talented Pop Star
Rachel Renee Russell has signed a deal with Simon & Schuster’s Aladdin to publish book five and six. They will release the fourth book Dork Diaries 3 ½: How to Dork Your Diary, on October 11, 2011.
Book five will release in fall 2012 and book six in spring 2013. They are both untitled.
Following the news, Russell released this statement: “As my character Nikki Maxwell might say, Squee! Or she might break into a Snoopy happy dance. That’s how excited I am to be writing and drawing more Dork Diaries books. Watching this series grow and be embraced by fans all over the world has been a dream come true, and I’m so happy that I can keep showing my readers that, indeed, dorks rule!”
