I just sent off my two older kids to camp for a week (sniff, sniff). That leaves me and my 7 year old Aaron home alone, by ourselves, just me and him, with no older brother to play with. Hmmmm…this could get interesting! I don’t even remember what it’s like to have one child, but this will be a bonding week for the two of us and we’re going to do some special things together. Did you know it’s cheaper to entertain one child rather than three.

I’ve been looking for some activities to keep us busy and one that we plan on taking advantage of are the $1 movies at the Regal theater. Being the movie nut I am, this will be something that’s fun for both of us.

Also, our park just down the street has outdoor movies on Fridays during the summer, which are so much fun. Kids love seeing a movie outside. We bring blankets, snacks and cuddle up for one very fun family night.
