I really hope this is right. I know that Best Buy is no longer doing the free-Xbox deal, and a store manager told me just this morning that Microsoft pulled the plug on it about 2 weeks ago. "Don't quote me on the date," he said, "but right about June 18?"
Still, I haven't been able to find ANY 'official' Microsoft announcement about it.
So, bummer. I was poised to drop about $2k at Best Buy this morning, but the incentive to buy in the store was the free Xbox in hand immediately. Without that incentive...
