We are a little Pirate crazy at the ToyXplosion headquarters right now (a.k.a our home). Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is coming to theaters tomorrow (May 20th) and we just know your kids are going to be just as pirate crazy as we are (if not already) after they see this movie.
It was at the beginning of February when we mentioned the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Queen Anne’s Revenge Playset and Action Figures by JAKKS. They are now in stores and we had the chance to check them out. Here’s a photo of Todd and Aaron putting it together. (Keep reading for the giveaway of the ship and action figure!)
We also shot some video of them putting it together and Aaron showing some of the features of the ship. The ship has a ton of cool features and our video would have been way too long if we showed them all to you, but we’ll get into the details in a bit.
The Queen Anne’s Revenge Ship retails for around $69.99, but you can find it for a better price online both at Walmart $59.97 and Disney Store $59.50. It’s priced super high at Amazon, just FYI.

Avast me hearties, enjoy lots of buccaneering fun with this Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides — Queen Anne’s Revenge Play Set. Blackbeard’s pirate ship comes with over 15 action features including retractable plank and zip line action!
Like I said above, this ship has so many cool features, which include:
- Use the mystical lantern to reveal over 30 secrets within!
- Escape hatch
- Mid-section slides open to extend play inside
- Retractable plank
- Zip line action
- Rotate crank for dueling action
- Launching action
Aaron’s favorite things about the ship are the mystical lantern which he can shine all over the ship to see the different secrets and all of the secret compartments he found. This is definitely a toy he’ll be playing with for a long time to come. It’s the first thing he wanted to do when he woke up this morning. I can’t wait until he sees the movie and then can act out different scenes with the ship and his Jack Sparrow action figure. Speaking of the action figures….
There are action figures available for several of the Pirates of the Caribbean characters including Jack Sparrow, Angelica, Black Beard and Gibbs. The action figures have the Zombie reveal feature, which to a 7 year old, is the most amazing thing ever. You use the Mystical Ring to light up Jack Sparrow’s face and reveal the secret within as it turns from normal to skeletal. We tried to get this on video, but it just didn’t give you the details like we wanted. So, here’s a picture instead.
The action figures go perfect with the Queen Anne’s Revenge Playset and I imagine Aaron will be asking for the other figures to go along with his Jack Sparrow.
