Noval – Fun Family Card Game {Review & Giveaway}

My 11 yr. old son and I have a new addiction and it’s in the form of a card game called Noval. Now, we get sent a lot of games. A lot of games. Some we play and our reaction is ‘Meh’. Some are so complicated we give up. And then there are those that really grab our attention and we play over and over and over again. Noval is THAT game for us right now. We love it!

What do we love so much about it? It’s just a simple card game that is easy to play, you can take it with you anywhere and it lets you be a little mischievous. (Mwahahahaha!) It’s also a fast playing game, which is always a plus. ( I have the attention span of a squirrel.)

I started to try to explain how to play the game, but instead started confusing myself. So, let’s just say trust me when I say it’s a fun card game and it’s one you will enjoy playing with your kids.

NOVAL (pronounced \’no-val\) is a new family card game. The object of the game is to be the first player without any cards! Seems easy enough, but NOVAL is packed full of surprises and twists that make avoiding picking up cards frustrating and fun. Forcing your opponents to pick up piles of cards will have you bragging and gloating – that is until they’ve gotten their revenge and made you do the same.

I really like the unique shape of the cards and it really does make it easier to hold on to. So when you have to pick up that enormous amount of cards in the play pile, which has happened to me several times, it’s just easier. At first they were hard to shuffle, like any new deck of cards, but once we played with them enough, it was just fine.

When we go on vacation during the summer, we like to bring some games with us. Noval is small and can easily fit anywhere. It’s the perfect companion for a summer trip and it will give you something fun to do inside when you’ve had enough of the sun.
