Do you know what today is in New York City? It’s Cyco Friday! The new CycoCycle is invading the Big Apple today, where a team of 30 CycoCycle riders will pedal over 100 miles throughout the day. The event kicks off at 9:00 am and ends at 7:00 pm.
What is the CycoCycle? Check it out!
It’s truly unlike anything you’ve seen before. It has 3 wheels, bright yellow paint, a back pedal, no handlebars and a folding frame so it can easily fit anywhere for storage or easy transportation. Yes, it’s awesome! Check out our video of the CycoCycle in action and keep reading to hear more about Cyco Friday in New York City today, as well as where you can purchase one.
If you are in NY, look for the riders in bright yellow CycoCycle shirts. Some of them will be traveling with newspaper delivery or bike messenger bags filled with Toys “R” Us coupons and other gear. These riders will pedal throughout various parks, neighborhoods, pose for pictures in front of top NYC landmarks, and the crazy fun is they will be performing tricks.
In celebration of ‘Cyco Friday’, the Toys “R” Us flagship store in Times Square will be will be offering a special rate of $99 per Cycle with an extra $10 off from the coupons the riders will be handing out.
We love our CycoCycle! It’s been used everyday, this entire week and doesn’t seem to get old. It’s made for kids ages 13 and up, but our 11 year old was able to handle it just fine. Even our 7 year old can get on the back of it and play around, as well as hitch a ride with his brother as you saw in the video.
Our boys are big into scooters, bike, rollerblades, long boards….just about anything with wheels. If it rolls, they want to try it. We’ve tested out a lot of different scooters and bikes over the last few years and none have been anything like the CycoCycle. There are endless ways to ride it and I know we haven’t even scratched the surface as to what can be done with it. But believe me, our 11 year old has been practicing big time different stunts and ways to ride it, so as soon as he’s got some of those down, we’ll shoot another update video.
The question I always ask myself when we are reviewing something is ‘Would I spend my own money on this?’ and the answer is a resounding ‘Yes!’. It’s well made. It’s unique. It’s ingenious and a heck of a lot of fun. You can purchase it for $99 at both Toys R Us and Walmart.
So, what do you think? Is this something your kids might enjoy? Oh and Happy Cyco Friday!
