Fabulous Flowers by Klutz – A Guide to Making Paper Flowers

We recently received an amazing box of books from Klutz and we’ve decided since each one was so amazing, they deserve their own separate feature. So, for the next week (or longer) we’ll be featuring different books by Klutz that we highly recommend.

First up, Fabulous Flowers. I can’t say enough good things about this book. It’s filled with 60 pages of instructions for making paper flowers and you just can’t go wrong. The instructions are so well laid out and your kids truly can create amazing flowers with paper.

A custom winding-tool makes it easy to roll and shape paper petals into dimensional, life-sized blossoms inspired by some of our favorite flowers: roses, daisies, daffodils, poppies and even sweet peas. But don’t stop there. Sparkly embellishments, fresh paper colors, and whimsical design variations give these blooms a twist.

Fabulous Flowers is best for girls ages 9 and up. Not only does this make a good project for mom and daughter to do, but you could also set this up for a birthday party or slumber party activity. It’s definitely something tween girls will get into and have an absolute blast doing! And, they get to take home their creations, which they always love.

This will make a great summer time activity as well (or rainy day) for your kids. It’s so hard when the kids can’t get out and play and you’re trying to come up with things to keep them busy. Breaking out a craft for them to do is always a big hit with our kids!

Fabulous Flowers is available for $18.95 at Amazon.com, as well as your local bookstores.
