Brainy Baby Educational DVDs {Review}

We all want smart children right? I remember when we had our first child, Hannah, we would spend hours and hours reading to her, working on her letters and making sure she was getting a good start. Then came child number 2 and 3 and well….you get the picture. We didn’t have the time to work with them near as much.

I love the ideas of educational DVDs. I’m not one to use the TV for babysitting, but when it comes to putting a DVD in that they not only enjoy but are learning from as well, I am all for that!

Have you heard of the educational DVDs from Brainy Baby? We received several to review and I was so wishing I used something like this when my kids were little! I loved them and passed them on to a friend who has a brand new little one.

Each DVD is tailored to a particular age group and has very entertaining and interactive material to help your kids learn. We reviewed Talking Hands, English, Laugh & Learn, Shapes & Colors and ABC’s.

For those of you who like statistics, the University of Texas (Hook ‘em Horns!) did a study which revealed that toddlers between 18 and 24 months who watched Brainy Baby educational DVDs were 22 times more successful at identifying shapes that were seen in the DVD.

22 times is a nice number!
