Review: Zippies – The Pals That Hang Around

One of our sons takes a water bottle to school everyday. He’s in 1st grade and it’s easier for the teacher if the kids aren’t constantly getting up to get a drink of water, but just have it right there at their desks. We have lost several water bottles over this year. I swear they disappear into thin air with a ‘poof!’. Of course I write his name on them, but most of the time, even the permanent marker wears off.

There’s also the issue of the backpack. It never fails that more than one kid has the same backpack. That happened to us at the beginning of the year and we ended up with some other kid’s backpack. Our son’s name was written inside the backpack, but what first grader is going to take the time to open it up and make sure it’s his, right?

We now have everything labeled nicely with Zippies. Zippies are ‘The Pals That Hang Around’ and they are wonderful! Not only are they practical, but they have that collectibility factor that kids love.

The Zippies website gives you tons of ideas for these little pals, from labeling your water bottle and luggage to using it as a keychain (which I do!) or even a necklace. As you can see in the picture above, Aaron turned one of his into a necklace.

Although I received these as a review item, they are definitely something I would personally purchase and plan on adding to Aaron’s collection when the next series comes out. They are fun, practical, well made and something we use everyday.
