All three of our kids have bookshelves in their rooms, filled with books (obviously). Encouraging your kids to curl up in their bed and read, is so important. For the younger ones, curling up in bed with them to read can create memories they will never forget. Add a bookshelf, fill it with some books and tell them to go read! Before you know it, they might actually do it without asking (gasp!).
Sometimes it can be hard to make a bookshelf and its contents fit into the style of the room. But with just a creative touch or two, you can definitely make that happen. Here’s a creative touch for a bookshelf that I fell in love with.

These Skip Hop bookends are soft, yet weighted enough to keep the books from sliding. They serve a practical use, but are also pleasing to the eye and add some character to the room.
