Here in Colorado, school was canceled today because of the crazy extreme temperatures we are having. The wind chill is something around -20, and buses usually aren’t able to start up in those kinds of temps. So, the kids are home, with no place to go and in need of something to help them not go stir crazy. This is when it’s time to break out the crafts or something they can make.
Our Featured Toy of the Week is the Eco-Friendly Castle Tower by Imagination Box Co. This is the perfect toy to keep the kids occupied. First, they have to put it together and then it needs to be decorated and after that, well, it’s time to play with it! Here’s a photo of the castle after it’s been put together.
We had the opportunity to review this castle and it has been so much fun for our 6 year old, from the moment we took it out of the box. He had some help putting it together and he and I have been having fun decorating it a little bit every day. We decided to use markers to color it, instead of the paints that came with it.
Here’s a photo of Aaron coloring his castle.
The castle is 39″ Tall x 18″ Diameter, easy to assemble, breaks down for easy storage and 100% recyclable.
What kids will love about it: Kids will love this castle because they get to play with something they created from the ground up. They get to help put it together, decorate it and then show it off in their rooms or playrooms. Aaron is very proud of the castle and he also loves that it’s something me and him have been decorating together. Each day, we color a little section and we are both looking forward to the day when it’s all colored. It’s going to look amazing.
What parents will love about it: This castle inspires creativity from the time kids take it out of the box. They can help you put it together, decorate it any way they want and then use their imagination when playing with it. For just under $40, you can have something displayed in their rooms that they created. It can even be used as a decoration piece for their room. If your little girl’s room is a princess theme, this would be the perfect addition to it. Or maybe your little boy’s room is done in a medieval theme.
Another thing I personally love about this castle, is that it can be for both boys and girls. What has Aaron been using it for? His LEGO guys. It has been perfect for him to pretend play with his LEGO knights. He also set up a little cannon to shoot out of one of the windows. He just loves it. I can see little girls using it for their small princess dolls and doll house figurines.
Overall, we are very pleased with this product and would be proud to give it as a gift or buy it for our own kids. You can see more products they have to offer here or their website here, which include a firehouse, cottage, school house and more.
