Toys get us very excited around here, as you can probably guess. Toys based on popular movies get us super duper excited. That’s why we can’t wait to tell you about the new toys and video game by Disney, which is inspired by their upcoming movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’.
There was an event in New York last night, which unveiled the new toy line. You ready to see some pictures and hear more about the toys?! We thought so.
Do you know what that is? Well, it’s Ian McShane standing next to a life-sized Jack Sparrow and he’s also holding a custom Blackbeard action figure from Disney and JAKKS Pacific’s. The life-sized Jack Sparrow was made out of 150,000 LEGO bricks.
Disney also unveiled the LEGO® Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game and construction toys.
The toy line will be available in stores this March 2011 and includes everyone’s favorite scallywag, Captain Jack Sparrow; his right-hand man, Gibbs; and old foe, Barbossa. The line also showcases new characters and themes from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides including the sinister and notorious Blackbeard; a mysterious woman from Captain Jack Sparrow’s past, Angelica; and the Fountain of Youth they desperately seek. Disney will also release a full line of Pirates-themed merchandise in conjunction with the film including publishing, apparel, cosmetics, accessories, and stationery.
