I don’t know about your young kids, but when ours were younger, they loved to play dress up just about every day. Whether they were dressing up as a princess or a character from Star Wars, that costume put them in an imaginary world all their own. Costumes definitely are not just for Halloween. In fact, it is extremely good for kids to play dress up all year round.
We had the chance to order some costumes of our own from HalloweenExpress.com. Armed with $100, we were so excited to choose from their very large selection of costumes, masks, wigs and just about anything else you might need for dressing up. Our 6 year old dreams of being an Air Force Pilot some day. What better way to help him dream, then to dress up as one! We purchased the Jr Air Force Pilot Child Costume for him and needless to say, it was a huge hit! Would you like to see how cool he looks in his costume?
He’s flying the plane, in case you are wondering. And, I love the fact that he’s barefoot. I’m sure that breaks some sort of pilot code, but in his world, you can do everything barefoot…even fly a plane.
We were very impressed with the quality of the costume and it definitely will last a long time. It has all the bells and whistles, er zippers and patches, that a real Air Force Pilot uniform would have. Here’s a close up shot. The medal he is sporting is sold separately.
So, if the Air Force Pilot gig doesn’t work out for him, he can always be a burglar.
Oh how this mask has given us many a laughs! We completely freaked out our 11 year old’s friends by wearing this when they came to the door. Good times, good times indeed. Todd has dibs on this one for Halloween this year, but Aaron loves it too, so he modeled it for us. It’s a half mask, which we all prefer over the full face masks. You can check out the Burglar mask here.
Last but not least, with Pirates of the Caribbean 4 coming out, pirate costume sales will sky rocket. We decided to get ahead of the game and ordered this pirate mask.
That’s Todd, being all scary with his pirate mask on. I am loving the enormous nose and mustache.
Overall we are very pleased with our purchases from HalloweenExpress.com. They shipped them to us super fast and as I mentioned before, the quality is fantastic. None of these are a ‘one time wear’ kind of costume. They will definitely last.
