ToyXplosion Video: The Young Scientists Club’s “Science on a Tracking Expedition Kit”

When you can combine learning and having fun, it’s a win-win situation for parents, teachers and kids. We have always been big fans of science kits. It’s something we can do together with the kids. They have fun. We have fun and learning is involved.

The Young Scientists Club has some fabulous kits available and we put one to the test! Here’s a video clip with Julie talking about the Science on a Tracking Expedition Kit and her and Aaron testing the kit out.

You will never believe what one young Scientist was able to do with this kit! In a report just intercepted from the MythNet (a secret network used by myths and legends), Santa Claus has relocated his workshop to a new undisclosed location. The apparent reason for this surprise action was that a 7-year old child, using the brand new, award-winning Science on a Tracking Expedition kit from the Young Scientists Club to track a flying reindeer, stumbled on the original secret workshop location by mistake.

Despite the incredible work load that went into not only finding a new location, but then actually moving his magical workshop, reindeer, sleigh garage and the thousands of elf workers and their families, Santa maintained his jolly demeanor. According to Santa, “I think it’s wonderful that the Young Scientists Club created a product that not only teaches kids to track real animals, but magical animals as well! As a matter of fact, I’ve instructed my head elf to make an extra sled-load of these for this year’s Christmas run.”

As expected the Head Elf was not as cheery as Santa about either the relocation or the instruction to make the Tracking Expedition kits for more children. “Don’t get me wrong,” said the Head Elf. “I’m all for teaching children about animal tracking. I just don’t want to move again. I’m bushed. I got short legs.” Then, on another note, he added, “The relocation has gone smoothly so we don’t anticipate having any ‘shortfall’ of Christmas product this year.”

Santa was a good sport wasn’t he? :)

The Science on a Tracking Expedition kit is available for $29.99 and recommended for children ages 4 and up. Science on a Tracking Expedition teaches children about animal tracking through exciting hands-on science experiments and activities. Chock full of games and activities, each kit teaches children to identify animal tracks, learn about the animals that make the tracks, cast animal tracks, play the tracking game, create animal track prints, design an animal track poster, and explore real animal tracks in nature. The eight realistic, animal footprint molds, large colorful poster, and 80 animal game cards are some of the unique included items that will inspire all Young Scientists to become animal track explorers!

We personally tested out the animal footprint molds and the large colorful poster. Aaron, our 6 year old, loved it! The great thing about it is we can get it out over and over again.

Consider purchasing this kit and others from the Young Scientists Club for your little explorers this Holiday Season!
