We’ve received a few books over the last few days and a couple of them came with a little playset that goes a long with the book. We love this idea! How fun would it be for your child to either read or be read the story and then have the characters ‘come to life’ with their very own playset?
We read Lauren and the Leaky Pail to one of our toy testers and it was a big hit, with them and us! We loved the story and the illustrations. This is one book that has a permanent place on our book shelf.
Book description: Everyone wants to win first prize in this year’s gardening contest. Lauren would love to win too, but you can’t expect to grow something wonderful with an old, leaky watering pail…or can you? Even after her friends offer hilariously, silly solutions to plug the leaks, Lauren remains unflappable in her mission to make sure her seeds have the water they need to grow. Will Lauren’s persistence, faithfulness and hard work be enough to win the blue ribbon at the festival?
The playset that goes along with the book is Lauren’s Wildflower Garden Playset. The poseable doll is well made and well, just down-right adorable!
Description: This playset includes adorable hand painted, poseable figure Lauren, her ladybug costume complete with ladybug wings, her pet bunny, 3 clay pots and flowers, dirt for planting, a watering can, rake and shovel, bag of seeds and a wheel barrow for pretend gardening! Not to mention the fold out play scene for added imagination! These sweet playsets are fun for children ages 3+. Based off the book, Lauren and the Leaky Pail by Bob Fuller.
