Kmart is kicking off the holiday season today (September 24th) with a very fun event in New York’s Times Square. Rico Rodriguez, from the uber popular show Modern Family who is Kmart’s Fun Ambassador, is unveiling live Kmart’s Fab 15 toys.
Beginning tomorrow, Sept. 25, families are invited to visit the Fab 15 website (www.kmart.com/fab15) and vote for their kids’ favorite toy.
“As a kid myself, I think the Kmart Fab 15 list really rocks!” said Rodriguez. “Over the past few months, I’ve been investigating the coolest toys out there – visiting toy headquarters coast to coast – and I know kids across the country will be asking for toys from the Kmart Fab 15 list this year.”
The Fab 15 list features the hottest toys of the season, including top brands like Hasbro and Mattel as well as popular characters that kids know and love like Barbie, Mickey and more. This year’s Fab 15 list is designed with kids in mind, because it contains all of the toys that they really want.

Kmart is sharing its list of hot toys early so that shoppers can take advantage of Layaway, which can help consumers who are looking for ways to fit the holidays into tight budgets. Kmart understands many families may be concerned about paying for the holidays, but layaway can help reduce stress by allowing parents to shop early and get the best value. Starting holiday shopping now will allow parents to pick up the most popular toys early so they aren’t sold out later in the season.
Beyond just featuring the toys kids want and offering the budgeting options parents want, Kmart is looking for everyone to have an impact on which Fab 15 items are the most popular. Starting on Sept. 25, and for the remainder of the holiday season, families are invited to go online to www.kmart.com/fab15 and vote for their kids’ favorite Fab 15 toy. Each time families submit their vote they will have a chance to win one of the Fab 15 toys which will be given away every day. Plus, they’ll be registered to win the grand prize – a full set of the Fab 15.
