2K Sports is pleased to announce NHL® 2K11, the latest installment in the popular ice hockey franchise, is available now exclusively on the WiiTM system. NHL 2K11 – which features Vancouver Canucks® assistant captain Ryan Kesler as the cover athlete – brings the most authentic hockey experience to Wii with improved visuals, more realistic gameplay, the most responsive controls found in a hockey video game and new pick-up-and-play modes.
NHL 2K11 is the definitive NHL simulation experience that mixes accessibility with all the authenticity and exacting detail that hockey fans demand. The game provides players with the ability to execute real-time (one-to-one) dekes, puck juggling, shooting, passing and defensive maneuvers delivered by the accuracy of Wii MotionPlusTM, and broken sticks to add another layer of depth to the authentic hockey action. To bring these incredibly accurate gameplay elements to life, 2K Sports improved player models and AI, added more responsive skating, and increased the level of detail in team jerseys, equipment, and arenas. Also included is the all-new Road to the Cup mode featuring Mii characters battling in mini-games, trivia challenges and skills competitions for up to four players on- or off-line.
Developed by Visual Concepts, a 2K Sports studio, NHL 2K11 is rated E 10+ by the ESRB and will be available exclusively for Wii on August 24, 2010. For more information, please visit www.2ksports.com/games/nhl2k11/.
