On July 1st, VTech released one of their coolest learning toys yet, the MobiGo Touch Learning System, and we had the privilege of reviewing one.
- Portable handheld gaming system lets kids enjoy learning on the go
- Touch screen technology introduces kids to a new way to play and follows the hottest trend in gaming today
- Slide-out QWERTY keyboard adds a stylish touch and gives kids a chance to familiarize themselves with a keyboard layout
- One cartridge is included with the system
- Sturdy, kid-tough design and colorful appearance
V Tech’s MobiGo gives kids ages 3-7 their own touch-tech toy that keeps them engaged while they learn. With a touch-activated screen and a QWERTY slide-out keyboard, kids get to emulate their parent’s gadgets while learning from characters like Shrek, Disney Princesses and Dora. Tap, slide or flick with MobiGo – kids pick the way they play and learn about colors, shapes, spelling, math, logic and more.
ToyXplosion review:
As you can see above, we gave this product 5 explosions, which is the highest rating a toy can receive here. Why is that? Because not only do we (the parents) love it, but our 6 year old has not put it down since we received it over a week ago! He absolutely loves it.

Why parents will love it: This is one hi-tech and well made toy. Between the touch screen and the slide-out keyboard, this electronic toy has everything to keep a kid busy and learning. Touch screens are all the rage right? I imagine if you have a touch screen phone, your kids love to play with it. It’s designed well and has enough bells and whistles to keep your child happy. And it’s sturdy enough to last the wear and tear kids tend to put on toys. Who wants to invest in something that’s going to fall apart?
The MobiGo Touch Learning System comes with one cartridge and it has enough games and activities to keep your little one busy for awhile. We thought the games were excellent. I could actually tell that our 6 year old was learning and having fun at the same time. He could start off with the easy round and then work his way up.
I think one of the things we loved the most about it, was playing it with him and watching his eyes light up when he scored well. When we first received it, we curled up in 0ur bed and played all the games we could. He would pass it to me and let me have a turn. Summer is the perfect time to purchase the MobiGo Touch Learning System because they need to keep their brains engaged.
A friend of mine took their MobiGo on the road for a family vacation and she said it saved their sanity while in the car so much. It’s perfect for travel! It’s perfect for these summer months and we can’t wait to try out all of the other Cartridges. They have such a great selection and a bunch aren’t even released yet. Do you have any idea how easy it will be to buy for our 6 year old now? He’s already asking for more games.
Why kids will love it: I have to admit, our 6 year old is picky when it comes to electronics. He has a ton of energy and there are not many things that keep his attention for very long. Over the last week and a half, I have watched him curl up in his bed, in his fort and in a corner to play his MobiGo. He just loves it.
I asked him why he likes it so much and he said because it’s just fun! He also said he loves the touch screen and the slide-out keyboard. He followed that up by saying ‘Mom, do you even have a touch screen toy’? Come to think of it…I don’t!
I guess I should do something about that.
We have reviewed a lot of toys here at ToyXplosion and I have to say, that the MobiGo Touch Learning System has been one of our favorites. Do we feel this is a good investment? Without a doubt yes. We will definitely be adding more cartridges to our collection!
