“KidsCraft Playhouses” Receives A Spring 2010 National Parenting Center Seal of Approval

For KidsCraft Playhouses, thinking “out-of-the-box,” actually helped them come up with a set of children’s playhouses made from cool, cardboard box environments. So kids are literally playing… “in-the-box.”

KidsCraft Playhouses – The Shuttle Imagination

The company founders, two dads, knew from first-hand experience that when you let a child play inside of a box, their imaginations soar as they explore different time-periods, take long drives to grandma’s house or blaze space treks to foreign galaxies. That’s the kind of in-the-box creativity that makes for hours of incredible fun. Just be ready for your young box-travelers to want dinner in-the-box, too!

Once they’d landed, and then stopped imagining themselves bouncing across the surface of Mars, here’s what the judges at The National Parenting Center had to say about KidsCraft Playhouses:

KidsCraft Playhouses – The Shuttle Imagination

Award Category: Toys, Puzzles, Dolls and More
Recommended Age:  3 to 10
Price: $69.95

“We all remember one of the best toys from childhood being the empty refrigerator box. Mom and Dad got their new toy and you got yours. Something about having a place of your own, where you could act out imaginative play and the sky was the limit, made it the perfect transformative escape. The Shuttle Imagination does just that at a fraction of the price of most major appliances. After working your way through the decidedly complicated instructions, it was playtime and boy was it ever. While it looks like a space shuttle ready for creative artists to decorate, that didn’t keep kids from dreaming up a variety of scenarios to play out. From astronaut, to race car driver to drive-through restaurant order taker, there really is no substitute for toys that encourage imaginative play.”
