Split/Second App from Disney Interactive Studios Available Now

Start your engines! Disney has officially launched its Split/Second app – available now for the iPhone and iPod touch at $6.99, and coming soon on the iPad. The launch of the app coincides with the release of the Split / Second video game which you can now purchase.

Both my 10 year old son and I had the chance to review the app and let me tell you, it’s fun! It’s definitely challenging, but who wants an app that isn’t right? Here’s the trailer for the Split/Second app.

Inspired by the critically acclaimed video game of the same name from Disney Interactive Studios and developed in conjunction with Black Rock Studios, Split/Second delivers action arcade racing on an epic scale. More info and screen shots below.

Set in a TV city that is rigged to blow, you’ll trigger Power Plays to wreck opponents, open short cuts and win the race. To win, you’ll need both speed and strategy because everything can change in a Split/Second!
