Whether we like it or not, batteries are a part of a parent’s life. Most likely you have many toys, video game controllers and electronics that take batteries. I know we have a ton! One Christmas I told the kids they were only getting wooden toys because I was sick of buying batteries every week. They didn’t like that idea. Shocking, I know.
Since batteries are a part of our daily life, I would prefer to use ones that are designed for greener living and that last long. That’s why I would like to tell you about Fuji EnvironMAX batteries. We were sent some AAA and AA batteries to review, but this isn’t the first time we have used these batteries. I have used them before and love them.
Do they last longer than the ones I usually buy? As a matter of fact they do! Do I feel better about discarding them (we recycle ALL batteries!) when they have died? Yes! You might be thinking that if they are “green” than that means they cost a lot of green. But they are actually very competitively priced with what we usually buy.
Think has a great article on “garbage crimes”. Come on! You know you are guilty of one or more garbage crimes. One garbage crime is throwing away batteries. It really can create a big problem for our environment.
They say: “It’s hard to believe that one little battery could truly make that big of a difference in the grand scheme of things. But the truth of the matter is that batteries contain cadmium, lead, potassium hydroxide, and other toxic components that can cause reproductive disorders and kidney, liver, and neurological dysfunctions. These toxins are so severe that throwing away batteries is actually illegal in California.”
Here’s a little more about the Fuji EnviroMAX batteries: (Psst. They won an award, which is always good in my book!)
The Mom’s Choice Awards has named Fuji EnviroMAX batteries among the best in family-friendly media, products, and services for the gear and accessories category. Fuji EnviroMAX batteries are one of the first eco-respectful high performance batteries on the market, offering “maximum power with minimum impact.”
The Mom’s Choice Awards (MCA) recognizes authors, inventors, companies, parents, and others for their efforts in creating quality family-friendly products such as Fuji EnviroMAX.
“We are honored to be recognized with the Mom’s Choice Award”, said Jerome Pruett. “The seal helps families and educators navigate the vast array of products and services to make informed decisions about their purchases. This allows consumers to green their homes in an easy and affordable way as EnviroMAX batteries are made from the basic elements of the Earth; there is nothing inside a Fuji EnviroMAX battery that will harm the environment. The batteries are free of toxic PVC plastics or any added poisonous mercury and cadmium, and can be disposed of in most landfills.”
Competitively priced, Fuji EnviroMAX batteries equal or exceed the performance and longevity of major equivalent brands. The Super Alkaline is available in AA, AAA, C, and D (MSRP $3.99 per package), and offers unexcelled power for the most common applications such as toys, radios, or flashlights. Digital Alkaline, available in AA and AAA (MSRP $5.99 per package), are engineered to provide superior performance and long life in high-drain electronic devices such as digital cameras, remotes and video games.
The MCA panel of judges includes education, media, and other experts as well as parents, children, librarians, performing artists, producers, medical and business professionals, authors, scientists, and others. They evaluate the product in a methodology in which entries are scored on a number of elements including production, quality, design, educational value, entertainment value, originality, appeal, and cost.
