The Toys R Us “Great Trade In” Event

From now until February 20th, Toy R Us is encouraging customers to turn in toys that are potentially unsafe for children at its “Great Trade-In” event. Customers can bring in used cribs, strollers, high chairs and play pens and receive a 25 percent discount on a new purchase of any new baby product that qualifies.

Last year’s “Great Trade-In” event was a success as customers turned in thousands of unsafe baby products.

For those of you who have recently purchased “The Princess and the Frog” pendant from Wal-mart that was deemed unsafe are encouraged to return it. The pendant contains high levels of the toxic metal cadmium, which has been found to be harmful to the brain development in children.
