Oh how we LOVE Thomas the Train around here! I still remember getting that first wooden set as a Christmas present for our then two year old. The look on his face when he saw Thomas and all his friends lined up under the Christmas tree is a memory we will hold dear forever.

Bachmann is introducing some new products for 2010 that I am excited to tell you about. They are the new Tidmouth Sheds and Tidmouth Sheds Expansion Pack, two new sets of locomotives – Bill & Ben and Donald & Douglas, Salty’s Dockside Delivery Set, Farmer McColl, and a Sodor Lighthouse. Bachmann proudly unveiled Large Scale Thomas & Friends™ last year. This year, Bachmann will be expanding this popular series with the release of James the Red Engine and four new pieces of rolling stock.
Not only are they introducing these new products, but they are introducing Thomas & Friends all over the world! They announced a licensing agreement with HIT Entertainment through which Bachmann is granted rights to distribute Thomas & Friends™ HO and Large Scale products in new territories around the world. Bachmann is very pleased to be expanding such a wonderful product line and introducing Thomas the Tank Engine™ to new aspiring engineers worldwide!
In addition to the United States, Canada, China and Hong Kong, Bachmann will now distribute HO and Large Scale products in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and South Africa.
Also, new territories for Large Scale distribution include: Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Tajikistan, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Uzbekistan.
That is very exciting news!
